Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2026 in downtown Montreal
When New Year’s Eve arrives, downtown Montreal turns into a true playground of celebrations. With standout menus, dazzling parties and first morning of the year brunches, there is so much happening that it is easy to lose track.
So we have gathered everything for you, the best tables, the most anticipated parties and the can’t miss January 1st brunches. A simple way to see at a glance everything the heart of the city has in store to welcome 2026 in style.
Restaurants
Les Enfants Terribles are hosting an elegant and festive New Year’s Eve celebration under the Ring, available by reservation for $175 per person. The evening includes a four course menu, an open bar from midnight to two thirty, a DJ throughout the night and a countdown to welcome the new year. Guests can also enjoy a Caviar Bump service as well as a selection of private import wines and champagnes.
At Maison Boulud in the Ritz Carlton Montreal, a six course tasting menu is served at nine in the evening for $450. This refined experience highlights seasonal products in an elegant setting that opens onto the hotel garden.
Restaurant Bivouac, located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal, offers a festive menu inspired by local ingredients and a view over downtown and Place des Arts. Part social club, part artisanal bar and part modern bistro, the restaurant also invites guests to celebrate inside its heated outdoor domes overlooking the Place des Festivals for a unique experience.
For a gourmet evening, Tbsp. presents a special menu for $135 per person. Access to the W Montreal New Year’s celebration is also included, subject to availability.
Restaurant h3 features a festive sharing menu served in three waves. Two options are available: a first service before seven in the evening at $140 or a second service starting at eight in the evening at $155 with a glass of sparkling wine at midnight. A wine pairing selected by the sommelier is also offered.
At the HONEYROSE Hotel, COMMODORE serves a five course menu for $130, with sparkling wine included. The atmosphere echoes the spirit of a French bistro in the heart of downtown.
At the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Rosélys presents a celebratory New Year’s Eve with a kir followed by a seven course menu created by chef Edgar Trudeau Ferrin. Live music accompanies the entire meal to mark the arrival of the new year.
Le Boulevardier at Le Germain Montreal offers a six course menu with wine pairings and a complimentary glass of champagne. A performance by the group DaRoy adds a warm and lively note to close out the year.
Inside the Montreal Marriott Château Champlain, Lloyd hosts a festive buffet with the option to extend the night at the Caf’ Conc’ during a live performance by the group Shine. This intimate venue, inspired by the spirit of the roaring twenties, brings an immersive touch to the celebration.
At Time Out Market, visitors can extend the celebrations with a special holiday offering. Until January fourth, most kitchens feature a unique dish created exclusively for the season, a perfect way to discover new flavours in a lively setting in the heart of downtown.
Parties
To welcome 2026, downtown Montreal is packed with festive New Year’s Eve celebrations. At Le Cathcart, the Winter Ball transforms the evening into a glowing winter scene. Guests move through candlelit pathways and shimmering branches before stepping into a lively space filled with warmth and sparkle. Champagne and city views add the final touch to this elegant and intimate atmosphere.
On Crescent Street, the Sir Winston Churchill Pub Complex keeps it real and spreads the party across three floors starting at ten thirty in the evening with classic hits and a spirited countdown.
At Le Balcon, the night takes on a Disco Chic theme, a vibrant celebration that brings iconic disco songs back to the spotlight. The energy on the dance floor carries guests straight to midnight, when glasses are raised to welcome 2026 in style.
At Yoko Luna, the Neo Tokyo NYE event unfolds in a futuristic setting inspired by Japanese culture. From eight in the evening, guests are immersed in a detailed visual world and a one of a kind nightlife experience.
Four Seasons hosts its highly anticipated New Year’s celebration with «Marcus 54» at restaurant Marcus, where live music, champagne, cocktails by Jay Lawson and a menu created by chef Jason Morris come together for a refined and lively evening.
To close out the night, W Montreal presents its NYE feat BLK PRL experience at the Living Room with an electric countdown, DJ sets, a live performance and the option to extend the celebration with an overnight stay. The package includes two tickets to the party, parking and a late checkout.
January 1st Brunches
At Rosélys in the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, guests are welcomed with a festive buffet brunch where families can enjoy a selection of holiday dishes served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
At Marcus in the Four Seasons, visitors are invited to a New Year’s Day brunch, a gentle and refined way to begin 2026.
At the Montreal Marriott Château Champlain, restaurant Lloyd offers an all you can eat buffet brunch with several gourmet stations including pastries, seafood, meats and eggs. The experience unfolds in an elegant setting at a rate of $95, with bottomless mimosas available for $40.
