Dive into the magic: a glittering journey awaits
This year, downtown Montreal’s illuminations take you on a carefully designed journey of wonder for all ages. Inspired by the “Welcome to Wonder” campaign, this magical winter trail connects the most stunning light installations across several iconic neighborhoods.
Here are a few must-see stops:
- The Forest of Frozen Pearls : Surrounded by historical gems like Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral and Place du Canada, the square Dorchester shines brightly in celebration of the area’s rich heritage. Look out for giant bears, suspended glowing orbs, and an enchanting illuminated bridge perfect for a romantic stroll.
- The Starlit Gallery : Step into a captivating 360° immersive experience in this enchanting location. The Birks Building sparkles brilliantly, alongside the illuminated façade of The Bay and the majestic columns of the Canada Cement building. At the heart of the square Phillips, giant deer delight children and add a magical touch to the scene.
- The Sparkling Tunnel : Framed by architectural landmarks like the Stock Exchange Tower and the World Trade Centre, the square Victoria lights up in spectacular fashion. 5 glowing tunnels create a magical ambiance.
Each stop along the route immerses you in a unique world where the magic of lights blends seamlessly with the rich architectural heritage of downtown Montreal.
