About us
Our mission
Montréal centre-ville is the Downtown Business Development Corporation (SDC), a non-profit organization that brings together nearly 5,000 member businesses. Our actions are focused on the development and promotion of the downtown area. As a key player representing downtown, our main mission is to contribute to the economic and commercial dynamism, influence, and quality of life of the area.
Our vision? To make downtown Montréal a world-class business and residential district with an authentic, lively, and creative identity.

Our team
Our team is dedicated to promoting downtown as a clean, safe, and dynamic place to live, study, reside, and work. To enhance downtown’s attractiveness, Montréal centre-ville relies on the work of its street brigades, on site seven days a week, to support well-being, cleanliness, and safety in the downtown area.

Our Cleaning Brigade
The cleanliness of downtown is at the centre of our priorities. That is why our cleaning brigade works every day, 365 days a year, to keep downtown Montréal neat and inviting.
Established in 2001, the cleaning brigade recruits members using a policy of social reintegration led by Montréal centre-ville and partner organizations. If you would like to work on the brigade, please contact Gino Chiasson, project supervisor and head of the cleaning brigade.
This project is made possible thanks to the support of the Borough of Ville-Marie.
