Downtown’s illuminations: an enchanting journey for visitors

Les illuminations de la Cathdérale Christ Church, au centre-ville de Montréal

All winter long, Montréal lights up with half a million twinkling lights, transforming downtown into a fairytale setting. The lights illuminate public spaces and commercial arteries, as well as key monuments including several churches and cathedrals, offering a safe and magical night-time stroll.

Signature projects include:

  • Dorchester Square, Place du Canada and Mary Queen of the World Cathedral cluster
  • Place Riopelle and Victoria Square cluster
  • Sainte-Catherine West, Christ Church Cathedral and Phillips Square cluster
  • West cluster : Cabot Square, teh Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, place Norman-Bethune
