Otakuthon Anime Convention at Palais des congrès

From August 2 to 4, 2024, the Palais des congrès de Montréal will transform into a fantastical universe for the Otakuthon Anime Festival, the second largest event of its kind in Canada. This vibrant festival celebrates Japanese animation (anime), manga, and pop culture, drawing thousands of fans every year.

Otakuthon features a diverse lineup, including cosplay events, the World Cosplay Summit competition, and masquerade shows showcasing the best themed costumes. Attendees can explore an expansive exhibition area, meet their favorite celebrities, participate in workshops and panels with artists and experts, and enjoy the manga library and gaming room.

Since its inception in 2006, Otakuthon has aimed to be a fully bilingual (French and English) festival, welcoming international guests and exhibitors from around the globe. It’s the perfect opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in both traditional and modern Japanese culture.
