Montreal celebrates Japanese culture for 10 Days

From May 1 to 10, 2026, Japan Week transforms Montréal into a true celebration of Japanese culture. Organized by ASIASIE, the event invites visitors to explore a curated route through participating restaurants, boutiques, and cultural venues.

Unlike a centralized festival, the experience unfolds directly inside local businesses, creating an immersive journey across the city without leaving downtown.

12 participants to discover downtown

In downtown Montréal, 12 participating locations are taking part in the event, offering a variety of experiences. On the culinary side, several restaurants are featuring special offers for the occasion, including Ramen Isshin and Sansotei Ramen with discounts on their ramen, as well as Tsukuyomi Ramen Bishop with a special menu offer.

For something sweet, Tsujiri highlights seasonal creations such as a sakura latte and matcha desserts, while Matcha Zanmai offers Japanese sweets and ceremonial matcha.

The event goes beyond food. Places like Galerie D’Okeya offer a cultural immersion with workshops around tea or kimono, while Librairie Argo Bookshop features a selection of Japanese literature.
