Free concert by Sabbath Café in Square Phillips

Montreal centre-ville’s member companies invite you to Square Phillips for a lively afterwork this summer. Throughout the summer season, enjoy free concerts in the splendid Square Phillips. On August 20, Sabbath Café will entertain the square!

Sabbath Café is an acoustic tribute to the creators of the greatest heavy metal band in history: Black Sabbath. The collective includes veterans of the Quebec rock scene, from the bands Groovy Aardvrak, GrimSkunk, BARF, Raid, and MadKing Ludwig. Since 1999, they’ve been reinventing the Birmingham quartet’s compositions with accordions, flutes of all kinds, keyboards and a succession of string instruments, all backed by a solid rhythm section. The whole set highlights all the melodic richness that has made Black Sabbath one of the most adored and celebrated bands of the last 50 years.
