Musical Wednesdays at the McCord Stewart Museum Alley
7 August, 12:15 - 13:00
FreeThe McCord Stewart Museum presents a new pedestrianized space on Victoria Street, accessible year-round, in an effort to bring the Montreal alley experience to the downtown core. Designed by architecture firm KANVA, this space immerses the public in the imaginary world of the Montreal alley, inviting passers-by to sit, stroll, meet and chat under well-stocked clotheslines. The abundant vegetation is reminiscent of the city’s most beautiful green alleyways, where Montrealers immerse themselves in nature.
This summer, free lunchtime concerts will be held here from July 3 to August 7. Groove to the rhythm of well-known musicians like Raph Delaé, Sandrine Masse, Lara Klaus and Diogo Ramos, and let yourself be lulled by the bewitching melodies of Sophie Lukacs and Juulie Rousseau. A dance performance by Barbara Kaneratonni Diabo will round out this program of free outdoor shows.
For more info on the program, visit the event web page.
Performances are cancelled in the event of rain.
