First Peoples’ International Festival (IFPF) – 36th edition
4 August - 14 August

A Celebration of Indigenous Cultures in the Heart of Downtown
The International First Peoples’ Festival returns to the Quartier des spectacles for its 36th edition, celebrating the cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Indigenous peoples from around the world. For several days, downtown Montréal becomes a vibrant gathering place where film, music, visual arts, live performances, and cultural exchanges invite visitors to experience the richness of Indigenous traditions alongside contemporary Indigenous creativity.
At the heart of Place des Festivals, an immersive installation inspired by Indigenous knowledge and cultures transforms the square into a welcoming meeting place. A towering tipi, a traditional longhouse, artistic performances, and cultural activities set the stage for a celebration that highlights the voices, stories, and perspectives shaping Montréal’s cultural landscape.
