10$Discover femmes volcans forêts torrents, a group exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) available until August 18. This exhibition showcases the works of nine Quebec-based artists: asinnajaq, Jacynthe Carrier, Maria Ezcurra, Caroline Gagné, Anahita Norouzi, Nelly-Eve Rajotte, Sabrina Ratté, Sonia Robertson, and Malena Szlam.
The artists explore diverse ecosystems, from the waters of the Saint Lawrence River to the soils of the tundra. Their works highlight the fragility of water, the heartbeats of Earth, the pulse of volcanoes, and the communication among forest trees. Featuring drawings, photographs, sculptures, and video and sound installations, the exhibition underscores the delicate and interconnected nature of life.
In a time of declining biodiversity, this exhibition encourages us to pay attention and reconnect with the natural world.
