(de)construction by Christine Hodgson at Maison Keï Akai

12 March - 10 April

L'exposition (dé)construction de Christine Hodgson à la Maison

Exhibition from March 12th to April 10th 2025

In (de)construction, Christine Hodgson explores the tension between order and chaos, urbanity and nature. Through vibrant works, she captures the raw energy of the city, transforming its turbulence into an emotional map of color and movement.

The exhibition then shifts towards a more organic rhythm, celebrating nature’s resilience against urbanization. The artist’s expressive gestures on raw linen reveal the hidden beauty in the collision between nature and civilization. A poetic and dynamic experience to discover at Maison Keï Akai.

About Christine Hodgson

Born in 1985, Canadian artist Christine Hodgson lives and works in Montreal. Her work, exhibited and collected in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Africa, reflects a free and instinctive approach where each gesture embodies a quest for authenticity and self-determination.

Inspired by the Automatiste movement, Hodgson captures the energy of the moment through a raw yet delicate gestural style. Vivid colors and dynamic textures create a palpable intensity, inviting viewers into a world where spontaneity and pure expression intertwine.
