A playful art walk through downtown Montreal

Starting June 1, Bonjour Chien, d’ici et d’ailleurs transforms downtown Montreal and the Quartier des Spectacles into a colourful open-air journey imagined by illustrator Chien Champion. Through sculptures, installations and video projections spread across the city, visitors follow Chien – a curious and ever-changing character exploring Montreal while searching for a place to call home.

Inspired by comic books, memory, movement and everyday city life, the experience blends playful visuals with dreamlike moments throughout several iconic downtown locations.

An urban journey to explore freely

Designed as a multi-stop artistic walk to discover in order – or completely at random – the experience invites visitors to wander through the city while stepping into Chien Champion’s vibrant universe.

Filled with bold colours, moving imagery and references to culture, sport and identity, Bonjour Chien, d’ici et d’ailleurs offers a fun and unexpected way to rediscover downtown Montreal throughout the summer.
