Contest Rules – Santa Claus Parade 2025

le père Noel

1. Organizer.
The organizer of the “Défilé du père Noël 2025 Contest” (the “Contest”) is the Société de développement commercial Montréal centre-ville, also known as Montréal centre-ville (hereinafter, the “Organizer”), a non-profit corporation with its head office located at 1176 Sherbrooke Street West, Montréal (Québec), H3A 1H6.

2. Eligibility.
The Contest is open only to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry. The Organizer, its agents, representatives, subcontractors, employees, as well as anyone residing at the same address, are not eligible to participate. Advertising or promotion agencies, and anyone involved in the development or management of the Contest, are also excluded.
The Organizer may, at any time, require proof of identity or eligibility from any participant (the “Participant”). Failure to provide such proof within five (5) days of the request may result in disqualification.

3. Contest Period.
The Contest begins on October 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (ET) and ends on November 13, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (ET) (the “Contest Period”). Any entry received after this deadline will be considered invalid.

4. Acceptance of Rules.
Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Rules. Any violation will result in immediate disqualification. The Organizer’s decisions are final and binding.

5. How to Enter.
During the Contest Period, five (5) videos will be published on Montréal centre-ville’s Facebook and Instagram pages. To participate, the Participant must:

  • Follow Montréal centre-ville on Facebook or Instagram;
  • Comment on and share at least one (1) of the Contest videos on the platform where they are participating.

Each video that is commented on and shared grants one (1) entry in the draw. Participants can therefore obtain up to five (5) entries, one per video.
Incomplete, fraudulent, or late entries will be void.

6. Limits.
Only one account per person is allowed. The use of multiple accounts, bots, or any automated methods will result in disqualification. The Organizer reserves the right to remove any non-compliant or inappropriate entries.

7. Prizes.
Two (2) identical prizes will be awarded in the Contest, each consisting of:

  • Four (4) VIP seats in the grandstands to attend the Défilé du père Noël de Montréal;
  • One (1) $250 gift card redeemable at Complexe Desjardins.

Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

8. Draw and Awarding of Prizes.
A random draw among all eligible entries will be held on November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (ET) at the offices of Montréal centre-ville.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of valid entries received during the Contest Period.
Winners will be contacted by private message on Facebook or Instagram. If a winner does not respond within five (5) business days of the message being sent, another Participant may be selected at the Organizer’s discretion.

9. Refusal of Prize.
The prize must be accepted as described. No transfer, substitution, or cash exchange is permitted. Refusal of a prize releases the Organizer from any obligation toward the selected Participant.

10. General Conditions.
The Contest is subject to all applicable laws of Québec and Canada. The Organizer reserves the right, with the required authorizations, to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest in the event of fraud, technical issues, or any other circumstance beyond its control affecting the proper conduct of the Contest.

11. Liability.
By participating, each Participant releases the Organizer, its representatives, employees, and partners from any liability related to:

  • Late, lost, or invalid entries;
  • Technical or human errors;
  • Any situation beyond the Organizer’s control that may affect participation or the awarding of prizes.

12. Publicity.
By participating, the winner authorizes the Organizer to use their name, city of residence, and, where applicable, their image or voice for promotional purposes without further compensation.
