Micro ouvert autochtone at Place des Arts
1 November, 10:00 - 16:00

Place des Arts, in collaboration with curator Kim O’Bomsawin, presents the fifth edition of the Indigenous Open Mic, a free weekend celebrating the cultural richness of Québec’s First Peoples under the theme “Languages and Territories.”
This event brings together the province’s 11 Indigenous nations to highlight the vitality of their languages, their connection to the land, and the importance of intergenerational transmission.
A diverse program for everyone
The lineup features a wide range of activities: opening ceremonies led by Richard Moar, concerts (Terry Uyarak, Maten, Ivan Boivin-Flamand, Willows), film screenings followed by discussions, youth workshops, poetry readings, digital installations, and an artisan market showcasing Indigenous creations.
A special youth segment will also take place on Sunday morning. Visitors can enjoy traditional dishes such as sagamité, bannock, and game meat prepared by Indigenous chefs.
The event will be held in various spaces at Place des Arts on November 1 and 2. Some activities (performances, artisan products, tastings) are ticketed.
