When Grand Prix weekend takes over Montr\u00e9al, downtown shifts into full party mode<\/strong>. Packed terraces, pedestrian streets buzzing with people, DJs spinning all afternoon and exclusive events going late into the night – for a few days, the whole city runs on pure adrenaline.<\/p>\n

While the official races happen from May 22 to 24, the celebrations kick off as early as May 20<\/strong> with parties, activations and events happening all across downtown.<\/p>\n

Francos de Montr\u00e9al<\/b><\/a> – June 12 to 20, 2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Francos are back, turning the Quartier des spectacles<\/a> into downtown Montr\u00e9al turns into one giant open-air soundtrack.for over a week. Free outdoor shows<\/strong>, stages all across downtown and a festive energy spilling onto the streets and terraces \u2014 this is when summer officially starts in Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

From day to night, Place des Festivals becomes a true gathering spot filled with pop, rap, Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois music and new discoveries<\/strong>. One of those Montr\u00e9al classics you somehow always end up at, even if you originally planned to \u201cjust stop by for a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Montreal Jazz Fest <\/b><\/a>– June 25 to July 4, 2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Every summer, the Jazz Festival completely takes over the Quartier des spectacles<\/a> with packed outdoor concerts, late-night sets, buzzing terraces and live music<\/strong> flowing through downtown from afternoon until well after dark.<\/p>\n

From legendary jazz performances to funk, soul, indie and genre-blending acts<\/strong>, the lineup pulls together huge crowds and gives the city a completely different rhythm for 10 days.
