In the heart of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Palais des congr\u00e8s<\/a>, Espace Accalmie offers an immersive experience<\/strong> designed to help visitors slow down and disconnect<\/strong> from the pace of the city. Created by paysages studio<\/a> in collaboration with MT Lab<\/a> and Tourisme Charlevoix<\/a>, the installation transforms a simple break into a calming urban retreat.<\/p>\n Inside a softly lit room, visitors are surrounded by large-scale projections filmed along the St. Lawrence River<\/strong> between Baie-Saint-Paul and Baie-des-Rochers. Waves, wind, migratory birds and an original sound composition come together in a soothing audiovisual experience inspired by the landscapes of Charlevoix. Presented Thursday through Saturday, the experience simply invites guests to sit back, breathe and let themselves drift for a while.<\/p>\n Conceived as an immersive refuge in the middle of the city<\/strong>, Espace Accalmie combines high-resolution projections, spatial sound design and a peaceful atmosphere in an intimate space<\/strong> welcoming only a small number of participants at a time.<\/p>\n Designed around the calming effects of contemplative environments, the experience offers a real mental pause from Montr\u00e9al\u2019s fast-moving rhythm. The original soundtrack, created by Montr\u00e9al sound artist Lina Choi<\/a>, accompanies the projections to create a soft and immersive atmosphere inspired by Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s natural landscapes.
